Light Blue Smokey Eyes

Sorry I couldn't do anything yesterday. I was feeling little sick. Here is the look I am going to do today.



The things you need to create this look.

1) Mac C.R.E.A.M eye shadow palette ( dark blue, light blue & black)

2) Mac light silver color ( Ofcause you can use any other silver color as high light color). This silver looks like another color in the picture. It is because of a lighting problem in my room. Sorry ;)

3) Balck eyeliner pencil

4) Maskara

5) Clean eyeshadow brush

How to create this look

1) Apply light blue eye shadow all over your eye lid. Make sure it is even.

2) Apply dark blue eye shadow on the crease and on 1/4 of your eye lid from the crease. Make sure that the dark blue color is not a harsh line.

3)Apply silver under your eyebrows as a high light color. I know I keep repeating this all the time, but you must make sure it is even.


4) Take your black eye shadow and draw a V on the corner of your eye lid and blend it with the light blue.

5) Apply the same light blue color under your eyes.

6) Apply balck eye lner pencil on the lash line and under your eye. For the lash line you can also use a liquid eyeliner.

7) To finish the look, apply black maskara.

Tresemme shampoo and conditioner review

I started using Tresemme shampoo 3 weeks ago and I started to love it. I did permenant curls for half of my hair 1 month ago and my hair started to get in to tangles often. After I started using this shampoo and conditioner for curl hair, it just doesn't get in to tangles much. Isn't that awsom ? The condition makes my hair look healthy and smooth.

Lime & Lemon Centrepiece

This is an idea to make an inexpensive yet elegant centrepiece. It only take less that 10 minuts to finish creating this decoration.

The things you need to create this easy centrepiece

1) Some lime

2) Some lemon

3) A clear glass vase

4) Few small white candles

How to do it...

Get the clean clear glass vase and add the limes and lemons randomly. Keep it in the middle of the table. Keep the small white candles around the glass vase and light it when needed.

Saree Blouse Designs

Today I decided to share some of my saree blouse designs with you. My husband bought me quite alot of designer sarees and these are my favorit blouses.

This is a perfect design for a girl who wears Kandian style saree. The round neck and the short sleeves specifically "Borichchi" are the two traditional characteristics of Kandian style blouse . I asked my dressmaker to make the bottom half in an oval shape as I wanted to cover the fat I have on my tommy :) .

This is the back side of the same blouse. My dressmaker used the hand work design for botom part as it's quite the new style right now in Sri Lanka. Deep neck gives an extra elegant look

This is a designer blouse. This slight V shape neck gives a cute look to the blouse. This gold color highlights the aqua color and it gives a rich look to the blouse. This is most suitable for a young girl.

This is another designer blouse. The frill gives a young girly look to the blouse. This type of neck line gives elegance to the blouse. I wore this once and I got so many compliments from many people.

This blouse it pretty simple. Short sleeves gives a thin look to the person who wears it. My dress maker said if we use this neck line for the front side of the blouse, we must use the back neck line as seen in the picture below.


I love this knot in the back. It gives a special look to the blouse... don't you think ?

Purple look

Things you need to create this look

*** I used MAC eye shadow to create this look. You can use any other brand as you wish to create this look.

1) Dark purple eye shadow

2) Light purple eye shadow

3) Black eye shadow

4) White eye shadow as the light color

5)Balck eye liner pencil

6) Maskara

How to create this look

1) Apply dark purple color eye shadow all over the eyelid. Make sure it is even.

2) Apply light purple on the crease.

3) Apply white eyeshadow under your eyebrows as a highlight color.

4) Create a V shape on the corner of your eyelid using black eye shadow.

5) Blend black eyeshadow with the purple color .

6) Take your dark purple eye shadow and make a thin line under your eye.

7) Apply black eyeliner on the lash line and under eye.

8) Apply maskara to finish the look.

Black and Brown Smokey Eyes

This look is great for a night function. This goes with a dark blue or a black outfit. When you create this look, you may have to apply your foundation after doing the eye make up because the eye shadows are falling off.

The things you need to create this look

1) MAC C.R.E.A.M eye shadow palette (dark blue)

2) MAC Prismique lustre (white, black, dark brown)

3) Black eyeliner pencil

4) Maskara

5) Eye shadow brush

How to create this look

1) Apply black eye shadow to your bottom half of the eyelid.

2) Apply dark blue eye shadow on the full eyelid.

3) Apply the dark brown eye shadow on your second half of the eyelid and on the crease. I am not wearing the highlight color in this picture.

4) Apply the highlight color under the eyebrows.

5) Apply black eyeshadow color in a V shape to the corner of your eyelid. Blend it well with the blue and brown.
6) Apply black eyeliner on the lashline and smudge it.

7) Apply black eyeliner on top of the smudged black line and a draw a thin black line under eye.

8) Apply black eyeshadow under your eye . It must be thin.

9) Apply maskara to finish the look.

Shalani Tharaka inspired look (Celebrity inspired looks 3)

I love this green eye makeup look shalani is wearing. It's a stunning look which gives a thin look to the eyes.

Things you need to create this look

1) MAC C.R.E.A.M eyeshadow palette (green & black)

2)MAC prismique lustre gold eye shadow

3) MAC prismique lustre dark brown eye shadow4) Jordana quickliner
5) Black eye liner pencil

6) Maskara

How to get this look

1) Get a clean eye shadow brush and apply the MAC dark brown on the crease of your eyes as shown in the picture below. (It will give a fine look to your crease after you apply green color ontop of the brown you just applied.)

2) Apply MAC green color eye shadow on your eye lid. Make sure you cover your crease with green eye shadow as well.

3)Apply MAC black eyeshadow in a V shape to the corner of your eye. Brush it in to the eye lid.

4) Apply MAC gold color eye shadow as the highlight color.

5) Apply JORDANA quick liner under your eye and on the lash line. Follow the piture below to understand the exact way of drawing the eye line.


6) Apply maskara

7) Final look.

Hair care (1)

I used to use coconut oil for my hair to get rid of split ends and to get the smooth look. I couldn't find good coconut oil for sometime, so I decided to substitue coconut oil by olive oil. The result I got was amazing, so I continued to use it until now.

What does oilve oil do to your hair ?

1) Controls Frizzy hair

2) A good solution for split ends

3) Makes your hair shiny

4) Makes your hair smoother

How to use it...

Take some slightly warm olive oil in to your palm and gently rub it into your scalp and to the rest of your hair. Keep it for like half and hour. Wash it off.

I really love the dress Anarkalli is wearing. Her sweet heart neckline is really stunning. You can wear such a dress for many occations. You can also accessorize this sorte of dresses by adding a black rose.

This is a dress my husband gifted me. This dress is quite similar to Anarkalli's dress.

A similar dress like Anarkalli's can be found in Forever21 web site http://www.forever21.com/. They actually have very feminine outfits and it's really low-priced.

I found this lovely strapless floral dress which has sweet heart neckline from Forever21.
